Alana Beard and Elitzur Ramla tried to win the title in Game 4 against Maccabi Ashdod and Alana's strong start fueled an early lead for the team before the opposition caught up and ended up winning 67-57 to force a deciding Game 5 later in the week. On Wednesday, Nick Horvath and the Manawatu Jets faced the Harbour Heat and lost an early lead to eventually fall 94-90. Nick had 20 points and 18 rebounds in 32 minutes. On Thursday, Kyle Singler, Marty Pocius, and Real Madrid made the trip to Barcelona to face their heated rivals with an outside chance at the regular season crown. The team got off to a solid start, but an FC Barcelona run early in the 4th quarter gave them a lead that they would hold on to for the rest of the game to win 86-83. Kyle had 3 points in 11 minutes, Marty grabbed 3 rebounds in 17 minutes, and Jaycee Carroll had 13 points. Like the last game, a strong start for Alana kept the team going early before her teammates chipped in to come back late and take a lead before being forced into overtime, where they eventually fell 70-66. Alana had 13 points in 41 minutes before fouling out. Tanisha Wright had 22 points and 8 rebounds and Amber Harris had 16 points and 10 rebounds. WNBA experience helped out in the win as Ashley Shields had 16 points and 9 rebounds, Tamera Young had 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Plenette Pierson had 13 points and 7 rebounds.
