Rated as a three star prospect and the nation's No. 18 center by Scout.com, Davis says the additional recruiting attention is flattering, but he's not interested.
"I love the Duke coaches and the campus. Every time I am there I feel it's a great fit and I've found my home. I visited Duke for their first camp of the summer and that's the only one I'm going to do this summer. My next steps are to prepare for a great senior season at Mansfield. Recruiting is over."
At the camp Davis was able to not only work out with other players, he was also able to interact with his future college coaches.
"I had a chance to talk with Coach Cutcliffe, Coach Roper, and Coach Latina. With Coach Cutcliffe, he's making all the right moves to improve Duke and make the program into a yearly contender in the ACC. I'm excited about all he's done and is doing, and look forward to being part of the team."
While at the camp Davis says he measured out at 6-foot-4 and 299 pounds while running 5.2 forty. He's projecting to play center when he arrives in Durham. And there's one more area of prep Davis is concentrating on.
"I am interest in either the medical or legal field after football is over. Both are great areas of study at Duke, and I'm looking forward to working to those goals."
