Tracking former Blue Devils playing their professional ball overseas

On Saturday, DeMarcus Nelson and Red Star Belgrade continued their strong run with a win in Croatia over Cibona in the Adriatic League by a 71-63 margin.  DeMarcus had 6 points in 22 minutes.  In the loss, ex-Maryland player D.J. Strawberry had 19 points and ex-LSU player Justin Hamilton, who was just drafted in the second round by the Philadelphia 76ers before a draft day trade to the Miami Heat, had 11 points and 14 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

Krystal Thomas and the Jiangsu Phoenix faced the Shanxi Flames and the game was sent into overtime, which just allowed Maya Moore to continue to pile up video-game level statistics in their 94-87 win.  She has an advantage in this league, because only one foreign player is allowed and most teams use a post player like Krystal so the foreign players usually defend each other while Maya is usually guarded by a Chinese player.  Krystal had 12 points and 19 rebounds in the loss.  Here is the box score.
