International Alumni Update: Dec 4

Tracking former Blue Devils playing their professional ball overseas

On Saturday, Jon Scheyer and Gran Canaria had a tough game against Valencia and their good run came to an end with a 79-65 loss.  Jon had 4 points in 18 minutes and Uros Slokar had 12 points.  In the win, ex-Xavier player Justin Doellman had 23 points.  Here is the box score.

  Krystal Thomas and the Jiangsu Phoenix faced Zhejiang and won 98-87.  Krystal had 8 points and 10 rebounds.  In the loss, Liz Cambage had an insane 54 points and 11 rebounds as she was fouled 18 times and shot 27 free throws.  Here is the box score.

  Jess Foley and the Townsville Fire had a quick turnaround against the West Coast Waves and won 78-65.  Jess had 6 points in 34 minutes.  Kayla Standish had 15 points and 6 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Shay Selby and Strakonice had a critical game against Slovanka and won 76-69.  Shay had 17 points as she played all 40 minutes.  Brittney Thomas had 12 points and 8 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Ball State player Porchia Green had 10 points and 8 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Targoviste did not need Monique Currie again as they crushed Rapid 94-52 in domestic league play.  Gabriela Marginean had 20 points and Natalie Novosel had 11 points.  Here is the box score.

  Sheana Mosch and Charleville faced Arras and won a close one 70-66.  Sheana had 20 points to lead the team as she played 37 minute.  Aminata Diop had 12 points and 9 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-James Madison player Dawn Evans had 23 points and 6 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Carrem Gay and Toulouse faced Villeneuve, but fell short 78-75.  Carrem had a good second half and finished with 18 points in 33 minutes.  Demetress Adams had 15 points and 10 rebounds.  In the win, ex-DePaul player Lenae Williams had 23 points and ex-West Virginia player Olayinka Sanni had 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  On Sunday, Shavlik Randolph and the Foshan Lions faced Shanxi and poor defense let them down as they lost 120-111.  Shavlik had 11 points and Rashad McCants had 21 points.  In the win, ex-Southern Miss player Charles Gaines had 40 points and 18 rebounds and ex-Arizona player Marcus Williams had 37 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.  

Marty Pocius and Real Madrid hosted Zaragoza and continued their great league form with a 94-79 win over Zaragoza.  Marty got the start as the lineup was flipped again and he had 6 points in 17 minutes.  Jaycee Carroll had 18 points, Rudy Fernandez had 15 points, and Nikola Mirotic had 11 points.  In the loss, 2009 Minnesota Timberwolves second round pick Henk Norel had 20 points and 10 rebounds and ex-UCLA player Michael Roll had 11 points.  Here is the box score.

  Shelden Williams and Chalon faced Paris Levallois and used a strong fourth quarter for a 91-79 win.  Shelden had 7 points in 17 minutes.  Brion Rush had 30 points, Ilian Evtimov had 13 points and 7 rebounds, Blake Schilb had 10 points and 11 assists, and Kevin Houston had 10 points and 6 assists.  In the loss, a pair of former UNC players contributed heavily as Jawad Williams had 28 points and Sean May had 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  DeMarcus Nelson and Red Star Belgrade were in Adriatic League action against Siroki of Bosnia and continued their win streak 69-57.  DeMarcus had 6 points and 5 assists in 20 minutes.  Elton Brown had 12 points and Mike Scott had 10 points and 6 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  David McClure and Neptunas hosted Lokomotiv Kuban of Russia in VTB United League action and lost 95-83.  David had 7 points and 6 rebounds in 23 minutes.  In the win, ex-Xavier player Derrick Brown had 22 points and 10 rebounds, ex-Florida player and 2009 Minnesota Timberwolves second round pick Nick Calathes, whose rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks on draft day, hda 21 points and 13 assists, and ex-Rhode Island player Jimmy Baron had 11 points.  Here is the box score.

  Jasmine Thomas and Chevakata had the second leg of their Russian cup tie with Nadezhda Orenburg and did not do anything to overturn the first leg deficit in a 72-43 loss.  Jasmine had 3 points in 25 minutes and Glory Johnson had 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Chante Black and Samsun had a tough game at Antakya and lost 68-56.  Chante had 10 points and 15 rebounds in 33 minutes and Megan Frazee had 19 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-WNBA player Jana Vesela had 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists and ex-Wisconsin player Jolene Anderson had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.  Here is the box score.

  Alana Beard and Wisla Krakow were stunned by Matizol Lider Pruszkow 68-51.  Alana had 12 points in 27 minutes to lead her team before she fouled out.  Tina Charles had 10 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-USC player Briana Gilbreath had 19 points and ex-Texas A&M player Sydney Colson had 13 points and 6 assists.  Here is the box score.
