Now boasting the collegiate offers he's waited for, Deondre Singleton will visit all three before making his verbal commitment. Singleton made the first of those trips to Penn State this weekend.
"It was a great place," Singleton said of Happy Valley. "They have really great coaches, people and players."
Penn State has officially offered the three-star cornerback at Archer High School (GA). Singleton cites his relationship with the Nittany Lions' coaching staff as the reason for his consideration.
"[I spoke with] every coach," Singleton said of his visit. "Mainly, Coach [Ted] Roof and Coach [John] Butler. They were good conversations."
Roof, Penn State's Defensive Coordinator, has led the charge on locking down Singleton.
So, what would it take for the Lions to gain a commitment?
"I kind of want to visit some others before I decide, so I can compare," Singleton admitted. "[Both] Duke and Appalachian State."
Singleton holds offers from both universities and plans to make his collegiate commitment after he has taken his final two visits.
