Tracking former Blue Devils playing their professional ball overseas

On Saturday, Alana Beard and Wisla Krakow returned to domestic action against last place Pabianice and the stars got plenty of rest as they won 83-56.  Alana had 2 points as she was only used for 9 minutes.  Erin Phillips, the newest member of the team as they increase their WNBA experience, had 26 points and 6 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

Chante Black did not play as Samsun continued to struggle as they were blasted 106-48 by Botas and reportedly the team may not be able to keep all of its players including Chante for the rest of the season.  In the win, ex-Oklahoma player Courtney Paris had 22 points and 17 rebounds, ex-Georgia player Christi Thomas had 18 points and 15 rebounds, and ex-LSU player Quinanna Chaney had 15 points.  Here is the box score.

  Mistie Bass and Lyon had a tough test at Bourges and fell 62-50.  Mistie had 12 points and 12 rebounds in 26 minutes and Danielle Page had 19 points.  Here is the box score.

  Sheana Mosch and Charleville had a strong start away to Lattes Montpellier, but fell behind in the second half and lost 80-64.  Sheana had 13 points in 32 minutes.  In the win, ex-WNBA player Edwiges Lawson-Wade had 14 points.   Here is the box score.

  Carrem Gay and Toulouse continued to have a tough time as they lost 70-49 to Tarbes.  Carrem had 1 point and 4 rebounds in 26 minutes and Chay Shegog had 11 points and 7 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Shelden Williams and Chalon returned from a short break with an 89-75 win over Boulazac.  Shelden had 9 points and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes.  Blake Schilb had 25 points and 9 assists and Marcus Denmon had 13 points.  In the loss, ex-Florida player Anthony Roberson had 23 points, ex-George Mason player Darryl Monroe had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, ex-La Salle player Darnell Harris had 12 points, and ex-Tennessee Tech player Amadi McKenzie had 11 points.  Here is the box score.

  DeMarcus Nelson and Red Star Belgrade advanced to the Korac Cup final after a comprehensive 90-64 win over Radnicki in the semifinal.  DeMarcus had 2 points and 4 assists in 23 minutes and Mike Scott had 10 points and 7 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Ole Miss player Terrico White had 21 points and 9 rebounds and ex-Washington player Matthew Bryan-Amaning had 15 points.  Here is the box score.

  Jon Scheyer and Gran Canaria faced the three seed Valencia in the Copa del Rey semifinal and could not recover after falling behind early and were eliminated 83-72.  Jon had 5 points in 19 minutes.  Ryan Toolson had 17 points, Brad Newley had 16 points and 6 rebounds, and Spencer Nelson had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.  In the win, ex-Xavier player Justin Doellman had 21 points.  Here is the box score.

  On Sunday, Shay Selby and Strakonice finished the first part of the Czech season strong with a 74-55 win over Pardubice.  Shay had 12 points and 7 rebounds in 35 minutes and Brittney Thomas had 16 points and 12 rebounds.  The next part of the season will have their team only play against other teams that finished in the bottom part of the standings in the first part of the season.  Here is the box score.

  As expected Jasmine Thomas and Chevakata had a tough time against powerhouse UMMC Ekaterinburg and lost 77-64.  Jasmine had 8 points and 5 steals in 27 minutes and Glory Johnson had 14 points.  Candace Parker had 24 points and 7 rebounds in the win and former WNBA players Sandrine Gruda and Anete Jekabsone-Zogota added 14 points and 7 rebounds and 10 points respectively.  Here is the box score.

  Monique Currie and Perfumerias Avenida were shocked at Girona 69-59.  Monique had 5 points and 11 rebounds in 33 minutes.  Le'Coe Willingham had 21 points and Marta Fernandez had 13 points.  Here is the box score.

  David McClure and Neptunas returned to VTB United League action in Belarus against Minsk and lost 93-71.  David had 4 points in 14 minutes.  Valdas Vasylius had 12 points and Laurynas Mikalauskas had 10 points.  In the win, ex-McNeese State player Tierre Brown had 23 points.  Here is the box score.

On Monday, Karima Christmas and Maccabi Ramat Hen wrapped up their first part of the season against league powerhouse Maccabi Ashdod and nearly handed them their first loss before the game was forced into overtime where they lost 79-76.  Karima had 20 points and Jenna Smith had 16 points.  In the win, ex-UConn player Charde Houston had 15 points, Ashley Shields, who went straight the WNBA from JC had 14 points, ex-Texas A&M player Danielle Adams had 13 points, and ex-South Florida player Brittany Denson had 11 points.  No full boxscore is currently available.

DeMarcus Nelson and Red Star Belgrade were suppoed to play the final of the Korac Cup on Sunday against city rivals Partizan Belgrade, but the game was interrupted in the third quarter with the score tied at 43 with fan problems.  The game resumed on Monday from the point of the stoppage, and after both teams took a little time to get used to playing with no fans in the arena, Red Star surged into the lead and won 78-69.  DeMarcus had 17 points in 31 minutes and Mike Scott had 20 points and 10 rebounds.  In the loss, Davis Bertrans, drafted in the second round in 2011 by the Indiana Pacers before a draft day trade to the San Antonio Spurs, had 10 points.  Here is the box score.
