"It was a dream come true," Parker said. "I didn't know I would be considered with the year I overcame with my injury, but everything worked out."
Parker had some adversity to overcome with his injury before his senior season, but is happy with how everything worked out.
"I think I did pretty well," Parker said. "I picked it up big time in the playoffs."
Physically, Parker says he's as good as he's ever been.
"Health-wise I feel really good; I feel better than before the injury," he said.
The next step for Parker is college and he's highly anticipating his arrival at Duke.
"I still have to learn so much as a basketball player," he said. "I'm going to be learning from one of the great coaches in basketball history and I know how much he'll help me."
Watching Duke this season, Parker was happy to see how well the team did despite the injuries.
"I think they did really good with the talent they had and the injuries they dealt with," he said. "I think they played really well."
When Parker gets to Duke, he says fans can expect that he'll always give his best effort.
"My expectations are to play well and win games," Parker said. "I'll always play hard."
