International Alumni Update: April 23

Tracking former Blue Devils playing their professional ball overseas

On Saturday, Kathleen Scheer and the Hobart Chargers blasted another opponent as they beat the Brisbane Spartans 89-66.  Kathleen had 7 points in 7 minutes.  Lindsay Laur had 39 points and 11 rebounds and Izzy Chilcott had 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.  Here is the box score.

  Jess Foley and the Norwood Flames continued their strong start with a 75-56 win over the North Adelaide Rockets.  Jess had 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 steals in 34 minutes.  Here is the box score.

  Nick Horvath and the Manawatu Jets had a quick turnaround as they faced the Nelson Giants and they fell 82-67.  Nick had 14 points and 12 rebounds in 34 minutes.  Gerrius Holloman had 15 points and 7 rebounds, Chris Hagan had 11 points, and Jeremiah Trueman had 10 points.  In the win, ex-Syracuse player Josh Pace, who was with the Jets last season, had 25 points and 8 rebounds and ex-Providence player Erron Maxey had 16 points and 9 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Shelden Williams and Elan Chalon faced Cholet in a battle between the past two French Champions.  Elan Chalon spent the second half getting back into the game and building a lead, but let their lead slip and lost 79-78.  Shelden had 12 points and 8 rebounds in 24 minutes.  Blake Schilb had 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists and Marcus Denmon had 22 points.  In the win, ex-Western Kentucky player A.J. Slaughter had 24 points and ex-West Virginia player Marcus Goree had 13 points.  Here is the box score.

  On Sunday, Lindsey Harding and Galatasaray finally assured their progression to the finals in Turkey after beating Istanbul University 72-52 in Game 4 of the semifinals with a shuffled lineup.  Lindsey had 6 points in 14 minutes.  Ann Wauters had 20 points and Sancho Lyttle had 15 points and 9 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Rutgers player Essence Carson had 19 points and ex-WNBA player Irina Osipova had 15 points and 8 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

  Alana Beard did not dress as Wisla Krakow had Game 3 of the finals against Polkowice and lost again 82-69 to put themselves in danger of being swept.  Tina Charles had 20 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-NAIA player Valeriya Musina had 21 points, ex-Stanford player Nneka Ogwumike had 15 points and 15 rebounds, ex-Virginia player Sharnee Zoll had 12 points, and ex-WNBA player Belinda Snell had 11 points and 8 rebounds.  Here is the box score.

Marty Pocius and Jon Scheyer had their teams square off with Marty still unable to play.  The game was close throughout as Jon and Gran Canaria fell just short and Real Madrid left the islands with a 76-74 win.  Jon had a quiet 20 minutes as he earned the start and grabbed 3 rebounds.  In the win, Nikola Mirotic had 19 points.  In the loss, Spencer Nelson had 24 points and 6 rebounds, Ryan Toolson had 16 points, and Brad Newley had 14 points.  Here is the box score.
