With Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh joining the ACC in the next few months, the conference has gotten an early jump on the 2013-2014 ACC Hoops schedule. The Blue Devils will face a number of familiar foes in home-and-home series, but will also travel to South Bend and Pittsburgh as well.
On Tuesday the ACC released the beginnings of the new 18 game ACC Hoops schedule by listing the locations and opponents for each team in 2013-2014.
Under the new scheduling format, each team will be guaranteed four home-and-home series against conference opponents. The remaining 10 games will be split up with five road games and five at home among the remaining 10 conference members.
The Blue Devils will once again play their arch-rival, North Carolina twice during the season. Joining the Tar Heels in getting two shots at Duke will be Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and former Big East power Syracuse.
The remaining 10 games feature five road games (Miami, Boston College, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh), and five home contests (NC State, Maryland, Florida State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.).
The Blue Devils will return two starters from last year's 30-6 squad, and will add Scout.com's fourth ranked recruiting class featuring three five star prospects. Also, Duke will welcome Mississippi State transfer Rodney Hood to the active roster as well.
