Tracking former Blue Devils playing their professional ball overseas

On Monday, David McClure and Neptunas closed out their season with the conclusion of their series with Rudupis for third place in Lithuania.  The team built a lead in the second quarter on their way to an 86-72 win.  David had 11 points and 8 rebounds in 25 minutes and Rashaun Broadus had 17 points.  In the loss, ex-JC player Arturas Valeika had 12 points and 7 rebounds.  It was another productive season for David as he spent another year in Lithuania.  While he was limited several times by injury, he was a key rebounder and defensive stopper off the bench for his team, playing a big role in turning leads into wins.  Here is the box score for this last game.

Here were his statistics in Lithuanian League play.

Here were his statistics in VTB United League play.

On Friday, Daniel Ewing and Besiktas started their defense of the Turkish League with Game 1 of the best of three quarterfinals.  The team finished sixth in the regular season, but avoided the other big Istanbul clubs as they traveled to third seeded Banvit.  They took the lead early but let it slip away in the second half before seemingly sending the game into overtime late with a game tying three pointer only to surrender their own buzzer beater to lose 68-65.  Daniel Ewing had 3 points in 17 minutes and Damir Markota had 18 points and 9 rebounds.  In the win, ex-De Paul player Sammy Mejia had 12 points and 9 rebounds and ex-Holy Cross player Keith Simmons had 12 points.  Here is the box score.
