Marquies Price picks Duke

An amazing week continued to gather steam as the Blue Devils landed a fourth commitment in the last seven days o Sunday night. This time it's a three star defensive end out of Georgia.

Sources indicated and the news was later confirmed via the player's Twitter account that Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County High School standout Marquies Price has chosen Duke.

The 6-foot-6, 220 pound rising senior selected Duke over offers from Kentucky, South Florida, Central Florida, Virginia, and Cincinnati.

As recently as May 22nd, Price was quoted as saying the Blue Devils were his leader:

"Duke is my leader, but I'm interested in USF and Auburn," Price said at the time. "Those are my top three schools I'm interested in. Auburn hasn't offered yet, but I feel like they're close to it."

In his junior campaign, Price says he amassed 49 tackles and three forced fumbles for the 8-4 Trojans.

Rated as a three star prospect, Price becomes Duke's eighth commitment from the class of 2015.
