Former Devils Open NBA Preseason

Two former Blue Devils opened their NBA seasons on Monday night when the Memphis Grizzles hosted the Milwaukee Bucks in a preseason tilt.

Shane Battier and Dahntay Jones never had the chance to play with one another while at Duke due to Jones sitting out for one season after transferring from Rutgers. Now, two years later, the pair of Blue Devils get that chance in a Grizzle uniform.

In the preseason opener Battier was able to post 10 points, five rebounds, and one block in 22 minutes of action.

Meanwhile the rookie Jones, who was picked 20th by Boston before being traded to Memphis, was only able to log two points (on 1-of-3 shooting) and one steal before fouling out in just 11 minutes of action. Recommended Stories
