Despite winning the Atlanta Regional, there were just two Blue Devils named to the All-Region teams, which were announced late Sunday night. Freshman Luol Deng was named as the region’s Most Outstanding Player.

Luol Deng averaged 18.5 points, and 6.5 rebounds, while shooting 13-of-24 from the field and 4-of-8 from the perimeter to lead Duke into its first Final Four since the 2001 season.

Also earning post round honors was sophomore forward Shelden Williams who recorded eight blocks in two games while averaging 13.0 points, and 8.5 rebounds. Williams converted 10-of-14 from the floor and hit 6-of-7 free throws in the two wins over Xavier and Illinois.

Others making the team were Xavier’s Lionel, Romain Sato, and Anthony Myles.
