The Blue Devils may find themselves fighting an uphill battle for the services of Ghee, who has ties to Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and Wake Forest.
"George Bell, who was my teammate here, goes to Virginia Tech and likes it a lot. Also my brother plays for Wake Forest, and I moved from Tennessee, so I am familiar with all of those programs."
Despite those ties, Ghee says there is no reason to think that he's not looking at every team that is coming calling.
"I'm open to everyone that's interested in me," said Ghee. "I just want to go somewhere that can get me a good education with a good football program."
As a junior Ghee earned all-conference honors after tallying 50 tackles, five interceptions, and seven pass breakups as a shutdown corner.
In the weight room he has recorded numbers of 260 pounds on the bench, 415-squat max, and a 4.4 recorded time in the forty yard dash.
"I think my speed is my best asset when it comes to coverage. I can do a lot on the field because of that and a natural coverage ability."
That self analysis is echoed by TheInsiders.com's Atlantic Region scout Miller Safrit who reported:
"Ghee has a ton of potential with his athleticism, speed, and strength. He could play on either side of the ball very easily."
