"I have offers from Duke, Louisville, South Carolina, and Florida State," says the 6-foot-7, 240 pounder whose father played for Florida State. "I'm definitely interested in all of them. I'd like to stay in the Southeast, and they are all pretty close to home, so I am interested in learning more about them."
Piurowski has only visited Florida State so far, to see the Seminole team which includes former Land O'Lakes quarterback Drew Weatherford. Piurowski is still trying to keep his options open.
"I wouldn't like to get too far away, but I wouldn't mind travelling out of state. That is still an option, but I would like to stay close to home."
On the football field, Piurowski caught 29 passes for 410 yards and six touchdowns while also starting at defensive end and handling punts for Land O Lakes. He plans to stick on the offensive side of the ball in college.
"I'm more of a receiving tight end, and I can block, but I like to go downfield and I am pretty physical when I am receiving. I like to hit hard, and run people over when I get the ball."
