McRoberts Will Enter NBA Draft

Sophomore big man Josh McRoberts will declare for the 2007 NBA Draft according to sources close to the situation.

After two seasons at Duke, sophomore power forward Josh McRoberts' career path will now take him to the NBA.

Sources close to the situation have confirmed that the 6-foot-10 McRoberts met with the Duke coaching staff earlier this week to finalize his decision. After receiving the full blessing of Mike Krzyzewski, McRoberts will prepare for pre-draft workouts.

He is likely to sign with an agent, which will forfeit his remaining college eligibility.

In 2007 McRoberts averaged 13.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 blocks in 33 games with the Blue Devils.

With his departure, the Blue Devils' roster has a glaring hole in the middle with only seldom used center Brian Zoubek. However, Duke is expected to be one of the finalists in the recruiting battle for West Virginia's Patrick Patterson.
