Paul Asack Commits To Duke

Paul Asack

Before he visited for the Spring game this weekend, Paul Asack made no secret that the Blue Devils were in fine shape with him. Before he departed Durham, the kicking prospect committed to head coach Ted Roof and Duke.

According to sources close to the situation Paul Asack, the younger brother of rising sophomore quarterback Zack, ended his recruitment on Saturday afternoon in a meeting with the Duke coaching staff.

The 6-foot-2 Asack isn't your average kicker. In addition to handling the specialist's job for Xaverian Brothers High School, he also plays linebacker and has developed quite a reputation for hitting opposing kick returners.

Asack is one of the most talented kickers in the Northeast according to both Scout.com and Chris Sailer, a nationally renowned special team's expert.

"Paul is a tremendously talented kicker. He is a great looking athlete with endless potential. Paul has a huge leg, gets great lift on his ball, and can kickoff with the best of them. Look for big things from Paul over the next year."
