DURHAM, N.C. -- Running back Re'quan Boyette rushed 18 times for 139 yards with a 65-yard touchdown jaunt to highlight Duke's 90-snap football scrimmage on Saturday morning at Wallace Wade Stadium. | |||

Boyette finished the day with two rushing touchdowns while averaging 7.7 yards per carry. Quarterback Thaddeus Lewis completed 17-of-25 passes for 151 yards. Zack Asack added 63 yards through the air while rushing for one touchdown. The receiving unit was led by Eron Riley (4 receptions, 23 yards), Jeremy Ringfield (3 receptions, 38 yards), Austin Kelly (3 receptions, 26 yards) and Brandon King (3 receptions, 28 yards). Twelve different Blue Devils caught passes on the day. On defense, Marcus Jones was credited with four tackles for loss while Vincent Rey, Wesley Oglesby and Charlie Hatcher recorded one quarterback sack each. Charles Robinson added three tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Duke's spring football practice session will come to a close on Saturday, April 19 with the Spring Game. Kickoff in Wallace Wade Stadium is set for 1 p.m. The Blue Devils open the 2008 season at home against James Madison on Saturday, August 30. |
