DURHAM, N.C. — Duke head football coach David Cutcliffe announced on Wednesday that defensive lineman Ifreke Okpokowuruk has withdrawn from the university.

"Ifreke has withdrawn from Duke University for personal reasons," Cutcliffe said. "He leaves our program in good standing and we will continue to support him in every way possible."

Okpokowuruk, a 6-1, 275-pound native of Charlotte, N.C., had not seen game action in two-plus seasons with the Blue Devils. He is the younger brother of current Duke defensive end Ayanga Okpokowuruk.
