Gerald Henderson logged a career high 25 points to help the second ranked Blue Devils stave off a late second half rally from Florida State en route to a 66-58 victory over the Seminoles in Tallahassee.

For the first 20 minutes it seemed that only Henderson had remembered to pack his offensive game for the trip south as the 6'4 junior scorer matched Florida State's scoring output at 14 points in the opening half. Duke shot just 5-of-20 from the field in the first half, but managed to hold Florida State to 7-of-34 shooting to take a 19-14 lead at intermission.

Duke would blow the game open in the second half - scoring the period's first nine points on the way to building a 25 point cushion with 12:45 remaining in the game. All told it was part of a 41-11 run that lasted over 20 minutes and turned a 10-5 Seminole lead into a 46-21 Duke advantage.

From there the Seminoles would begin finding their range behind the scoring of Tony Douglas and sophomore Derwin Kitchen who combined for 34 points, but shot just 13-of-38 from the field.

Cold shooting was a theme for Florida State as no other players could find their shooting touch as the team shot just 22-of-71 from the floor and 3-of-17 from the perimeter.

For Duke, Kyle Singler added 15 points and five rebounds while Nolan Smith added 12 points, but just one assist against seven turnovers. Junior Jon Scheyer added 9 points, but shot just one of seven from the field.

The Blue Devils return to action next Wednesday when they travel to Georgia Tech before hosting top ten opponent Georgetown at Cameron in January 17th.
