Quantrez Stevenson (6', 185, DB) out of High Point, NC has committed to the Blue Devils according to his hometown newspaper.

Around lunchtime on Wednesday the High Point Enterprise broke the news that High Point (N.C.) defensive back Quantrez Stevenson had decided on becoming a Blue Devil.

"Quan", who attended the Duke football camp earlier this summer, saw his name shoot up the recruiting boards in the Yoh Center after recording a blazing 4.28 forty time in the track portion of the camp.

When reached by phone, Stevenson confirmed to TDD that he had spoken with the coaching staff and was ready to be listed as Duke's eighth in-state commitment from the class of 2010.

"I spoke to Coach Collins and made it official. He was really excited for me and the news. I'm solid to Duke."

Stevenson reported offers from Marshall and East Carolina, with an expected verbal offer to be forthcoming from Wake Forest.
